Our Book Group in Melba, Idaho read the Ben Carson story. We discussed it and it was the conclusion of the group that this is a very good book. It is the real life story of a black boy who had no chance of succeeding like some in his peer group and he came out way ahead of the rest. A very good man.
What a great example his mother was of faith and courage. Against all odds she taught her sons what is most important in life.
One of the most inspirational, motivating and thought-provoking movies I’ve seen. Dr. Ben Carson’s life is a testament to how sheer determination, focus and (in his case) a supportive mother, can help you to achieve the pinnacle of your career and profession. Not only his mother’s but maybe, more importantly, his own strong faith in God, as well as a supportive wife were some of the major driving forces behind his remarkable journey.
