This movie is heart wrenching. I almost couldn’t watch it. I feel heartbroken for the women who think that abortion is their only option. I wish there was more information for them about other options. It was hard to watch and even harder knowing that this is real life. I am glad that the movie turned out ok, but I realize the fight is still very much alive. It seems to me that the problems in society all go back to the simple fact that we have taken God out of everything. If we understood Him, and His love, we would have a lot less mess in this life. We are always being tried and tested and that is the point of being here and being born. However, there are some things that are trials because of sin, that could be avoided.
This movie is really good, but also hard to watch. I appreciate her warning at the beginning that her story will make you squirm, it does. This movie teaches many good principles. First, it is a beautiful story of redemption. She does a complete 180, I love that God uses all her dark experiences for so much good in the world when she turns to back to Him. It reminds me of “come unto me…I will make weak things become strong.” This movie is an example of how God uses our whole story for good. I was also really impressed with how her family handled the situation. They were clear about how much they hated her career, but just as clear about how much they love her. They prayed for her, rather than argued with her, I am pretty sure that is the only reason that she actually left eventually.
