I love watching this movie. The faith of Ammon and Helam are great examples to us to stand strong in the faith of our Savior as we are in the last days and prepare to meet the Savior when He comes for the second time.
We have watched this one many times over the years and love it every time. My favorite part has always been the end when Jesus heals Helam so that he can see Him, something he was waiting for his whole life. This time one of the lines that stood out to me was when Helam tells Jacob “in your new kingdom I cannot be your father, but wherever you go, you will always be my son” I love that this faithful father’s love stay constant for his son even as he drifts and that this constant love is what helped his son find his way back.
