Unfortunately, the Book of Esther movie ended in the middle of the banquet scene with the king and Haman. In order to watch the end, it is necessary to sign up for a 7 day trial of PureFlix, which requires membership and credit card information.
A great look into the life of Queen Esther. The ending just needs to be added. I love the story of Queen Esther. What a great example of someone who loves God and has such integrity. I had just finished reading Esther by Heather Moore that also gives some great perspective. Thank you for sharing these wonderful historical films.
I love this story. I love her courage, her loyalty, and especially her faith. Esther is a Jew, but she catches the eye of the King. She marries the King and becomes the Queen. There is a lot of deceit and corruption trying to get rid of the King. Esther gains favor in his sight by exposing these crimes. When the King’s servant Haman devises a plan to get rid of the Jews, Esther fasts for 3 days with her people and then goes to the King to request that he spare her life and the life of her people. It is a huge sacrifice on her part because she is not allowed to approach the King. She shows great faith in God when she does it anyway. I always wonder what I would do in these situations, would I have been willing to risk my life for others? Would I have been that faithful. I would hope to be able to answer yes and have the faith and courage that Esther had.
The story of Esther is one of my favorites! I love Mordecai’s faithfulness to G-d and how G-d inspired him, not only to raise his niece to fear G-d and serve Him, but also to present her to the King. I am inspired by Esther’s courage and faith in not only being betrothed to the King but in fasting and praying to know how and when to speak to him regarding Lord Haman’s deceitful and treacherous plan to kill all the Jews, herself included. We see Esther’s compassion towards Zara, her lady in waiting.
I was able to watch this on PureFlix and it was well worth it.
