Should Not Leave Meetings Prior to Closing — Willard Richards (April 7, 1843)

it is an insult to the meeting to have people run out of meeting Just before we close. if they must go out let them go 1/2 an hour before. No Gentleman will go out of meeting Just at close.

Men Forbidden from Leaving Prior to Meeting Closing — Willard Richards (April 16, 1843)

I forbid any man’s leaving this house just as we are going to close the meeting,  he is no gentleman who will do it. I dont care who it comes from.— if it were from the King of England. I forbid it.—
