Know ye the condescension of
our Father and His Son?
A virgin fair exceedingly,
above all beautiful.
The mother of the Son of God,
aft’ manner of the flesh,
on Spirit’s wing was carried away.
The angel bid me, Look.
Behold the Lamb of God is born,
Eternal Father’s Son.
The virgin I beheld again,
the Child born in her arms.
Behold the condescension of
our Father and His Son.
Redeemer of the world is come.
