As a boy, Heber J. Grant wanted to be the bookkeeper at the bank. Unfortunately, his handwriting looked like hen tracks instead of penmanship. Undeterred, he began to practice his handwriting until it was beautiful. This dedication helped him to earn money by writing greeting cards, wedding cards and legal documents. Eventually, he reached his goal of working at the bank and was also a penmanship teacher at a university. Throughout his life, President Grant faced challenges and conquered them.
