John Philip Kemble is one of the eminent spirits who appeared to President Wilford Woodruff in the St. George Temple on August 21, 1877. John Kemble and his sister Sarah, who became Sarah Siddons, and a great Shakespearean actress, were instrumental in this revival. These two, along with Dr. Samuel Johnson and actor David Garrick, did much to bring respect to the theater and to Shakespeare.”
