Last night the Sanpete County RTB group held their annual Passover gathering. This was a beautiful evening discussing the Bible story of the Exodus (presented by the Cumming family) with then a Passover meal. We then afterward sang songs and listened to the parallels (presented by Cory Schmidt) between Moses and Joseph Smith and the Exodus the latter-day saints had from the Northern Countries.
In Doctrine and Covenants 103, the Lord uses the first Exodus led by the prophet Moses to foretell a second Exodus, a second Moses and a second gathering and redemption of Israel.
“Therefore, I will raise up unto my people a man, who shall lead them like as Moses led the children of Israel.” (103:16)
Such a beautiful time to remember Christ’s last days and events and the significance and patterns for our time!
